Overland water coverage
Insurance coverage for water entering a property at ground level from surface sources — heavy rain, rapid snowmelt or overflowing watercourses.
Typically a separate endorsement rather than part of base coverage, and separate again from sewer backup coverage.
Relevant across much of Calgary given spring melt behaviour, and particularly in communities with Bow or Elbow River flood history.
