House sitting
An arrangement where a person stays at a property during the owner's absence, providing occupancy.
Different from home watch, which is scheduled visits without anyone staying. Different again from the drop-in and recurring-visit services described on this site, which involve regular presence but no overnight stay.
Worth confirming with your insurer how a house-sitting arrangement affects your policy — an occupant who is not a named insured can raise questions.
