Recovery absences are distinctive because the owner is close by and completely aware, but physically unable to attend. The house might be twenty minutes away. Stairs, driving restrictions or simple exhaustion make that twenty minutes impossible for weeks.
It is also an absence with a gradual, uncertain end. Recovery timelines slip, and the return is usually staged — a visit, then a night, then properly home.
Because the owner is local and lucid, this is one of the situations where they very much do want to be consulted and kept informed. The constraint is mobility, not capacity.
