Irrigation Coordination
An irrigation system that was not blown out properly is a spring full of broken heads and wet basements.
Irrigation is one of the clearest examples of the coordination model. Fall blowout uses compressed air at pressures that will destroy a system if done incorrectly, and a system left with water in it through an Alberta winter cracks backflow devices, valves and lines. It is specialist work and it goes to a specialist.
What VacantHomes does is make it happen on an empty property: schedule it, attend for access, confirm it was completed, photograph the state of the system and controller, and record it against the property so next year nobody has to remember whether it was done.
Spring start-up works the same way, with the added value of someone walking the yard afterwards to catch the leaks and broken heads that only show themselves once the system is pressurised — which, on an empty property, would otherwise run unnoticed for months.
Who performs this work
Alberta regulates this work, or it carries risk that belongs with an insured specialist. VacantHomes sources the provider, attends for access, verifies completion and records it against your property — but does not perform the work and does not warrant it.
