Delivery Receiving
You bought a sofa for a house you do not live in yet.
Furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics and building materials all need a person at the address. For a property that is between owners, being renovated, or waiting for a relocation to complete, that person does not exist.
A representative meets the delivery, provides access, photographs the delivered items as received, notes obvious visible damage to packaging or item exteriors, places or directs placement per your instructions where that is feasible and safe, and secures the property afterwards.
One honest limitation: photographing a box and noting a crushed corner is not an inspection of the goods. Nobody is unpacking an appliance, testing it, or assessing whether it is fit for purpose. If the item needs to be checked properly before you accept it, that is a conversation to have with the retailer about their own inspection terms.

Can someone meet a contractor or installer at my house?
Yes — this is one of the most requested services and it does not require your property to be vacant at all.
A representative attends for your appointment window, provides access, logs when the contractor or courier arrived and left, notes what was done or delivered at a general level, photographs the outcome if you have asked for it, and secures the property afterwards. You get a short report the same day.
It works for internet installations, appliance and furniture deliveries, trades, appraisers, photographers, cleaners and inspectors.
What it is not: attending an appointment is not supervision of the work and not any assessment of its quality. Nobody is certifying a plumber's work by standing near it. The service is physical attendance, access and a record of what happened.
